The community of Sabie is beaming with pride after talented roller skater Given Chiloane represented the town and South Africa on an international stage in Egypt, where he proudly brought home a silver medal.
Given Chiloane’s remarkable achievement has inspired many young people in Sabie and surrounding communities, proving that dedication, discipline and hard work can open doors to international success. His participation in the international roller-skating competition placed Sabie on the global map and united the community in celebration.
Speaking about Given’s achievement, Councillor Trevor Selepe expressed great pride and admiration for the young athlete.
“Given has made Sabie proud. He showed the world that our young people have talent and determination. We congratulate him for flying our flag high and bringing back a silver medal. This is a victory for the whole community.”
